Therapy for Parents
-
Why should parents consider therapy?
We are not designed to parent in a vacuum. Parenting is a beautifully joyful and demandingly important job. It’s even tougher when you may not have learned how to navigate conflicts or emotions from your own parents.
Therapy is a place to explore your emotional experience as a parent, learn new ways to communicate with your children and shift form reacting to responding intentionally. Additionally we can improve parenting skills, strengthen the parent-child relationship and create a healthier family dynamic.
This is an opportunity to invest in your own well-being and the happiness of your family. By doing so, you can pass this insight onto your children, creating a healthier and more positive family environment

What to expect
Therapy offers a safe place where we can explore your feelings, worries and experiences and how these show up within your family system. Together, we can discuss the type of support your need. We can focus on specific strategies for you to enact positive change within the family or we can explore what has shaped you as a parent to help heal past hurt and break negative generational cycles.
